Privacy Policy
Your Privacy Matters to Us
At Tote & Tide, we value your trust and respect your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website or contact us, and the arrangements to be confirmed before artwork submissions and online orders are introduced.
Last updated: 30 October 2026
1. Information We Collect
When you contact us, we collect your name, email address, message and enquiry category, together with your phone number and order number if you provide them. We only request information reasonably necessary to respond to enquiries and operate our business.
Artwork selected from your device for a bag preview is handled locally in your browser. The preview does not upload or save that file to Tote & Tide’s servers.
Online ordering is not currently available. Billing and delivery addresses, purchase history and artwork for order fulfilment are not collected through checkout at this stage. When ordering is introduced, the information required for those services will be explained here.
Website and technical services may process information such as IP address, browser type, device information and website requests. The precise technical information collected by hosted services still requires confirmation.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use contact information to respond to enquiries and provide customer service. Technical information may be used to maintain website functionality and investigate errors.
When ordering is introduced, necessary information may also be used to process and fulfil orders, prepare personalised bags, arrange delivery, send confirmations and tracking updates, manage returns and meet applicable legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.
We will not automatically subscribe customers to marketing emails simply because they contact us or place an order. Any optional marketing subscription must use an appropriate consent mechanism and provide an unsubscribe option.
3. Customer Artwork & Uploaded Designs
The current artwork preview is local to your browser and does not submit artwork for printing or fulfilment. Do not treat a preview as a saved artwork submission or an order.
If artwork submission for orders is introduced, we will use customer artwork to prepare and fulfil the order. We will not use customer-uploaded artwork in marketing, product galleries or promotional materials without appropriate permission.
Before server-side artwork storage is introduced, access must be restricted to authorised personnel and service providers who need it for fulfilment. Secure storage and retention arrangements must also be confirmed. Artwork should be retained only as reasonably necessary for fulfilment, support and applicable legal requirements.
4. Sharing Your Information
Contact enquiries are sent using Lovable’s managed email service to our private business inbox hosted by Gmail. Website hosting, asset delivery and technical services also support this website. Google Fonts supplies the website’s fonts.
When ordering is introduced, necessary information may be shared with payment providers, courier and delivery companies, and authorised fulfilment or printing partners. Those arrangements will be reviewed before the services are enabled.
We only share information where reasonably necessary for legitimate business purposes or where required or permitted by law. We do not sell customer personal information.
5. Payment Information
Online checkout and payment processing are not currently enabled. This website does not currently accept payment card details.
Before checkout is introduced, a secure payment provider and its information-handling practices must be confirmed. Tote & Tide should not store complete payment card details on its own website servers. This policy will be updated to identify how payments are handled once configured.
6. Cookies & Website Analytics
Website services may use cookies or similar technologies for essential functionality. Bag and artwork preparation choices currently remain temporary rather than being saved as an account or shopping cart.
No dedicated analytics or advertising integration was identified in the website code reviewed for this policy. Error logging and an optional hosting-provided error-reporting hook are present; whether that hook is active on the published website still requires confirmation.
The complete cookie and tracking behaviour of hosted services has not yet been verified. Any analytics, advertising or non-essential tracking must be accurately disclosed based on the services actually installed, with suitable consent controls where legally required. We do not claim to use a particular analytics or advertising tool without verification.
7. Protecting Your Information
The Contact Us form checks submitted information on the server and sends notifications to a fixed private business inbox. It does not create a separate enquiry database in this website.
Access to business enquiries should be limited to authorised people. The business’s inbox access arrangements, broader security procedures and service-provider safeguards still require confirmation; this policy does not imply an independent security audit has been completed.
No online system can guarantee absolute security.
8. International Data Processing
Tote & Tide serves customers in New Zealand and Australia. Website, email and other service providers may process or store information outside your country.
The countries involved in processing contact enquiries, inbox messages and technical information have not yet been confirmed. Before final publication, overseas recipients and relevant countries must be reviewed and identified where required and practicable. We do not claim that information is stored only in New Zealand or Australia.
9. How Long We Keep Information
Contact enquiries are delivered by email rather than saved in a separate website enquiry database. The retention periods for the business inbox, email delivery records and hosting or technical logs still require confirmation.
Our policy is to retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, customer support, business records and applicable legal obligations. When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to securely delete or de-identify it. No specific retention or automatic deletion period is promised until those arrangements are confirmed.
10. Accessing or Correcting Your Information
You may request access to personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct inaccurate information, subject to applicable law. Please submit your request through our Contact Us form.
We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.
11. Privacy Concerns & Complaints
If you have a question or concern about how your personal information is handled, please contact us using our Contact Us form. We will review your enquiry and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
You may also have the right to raise concerns with the relevant privacy regulator in New Zealand or Australia.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, services, legal obligations or information-handling practices change. The latest version will be available on this page, together with its last updated date.
